SUMMARY:Replacing Invasive Plants with Natives
DESCRIPTION:Registration Procedure: \n\n\n\nRegistration is directly via Zoom; you will receive the confirmation with the Zoom link right away. \n\n\n\nRegister: https://virginiatech.zoom.us/meeting/register/Yl2KnptESJqQn3nHz0sbxQ \n\n\n\nClass Description \n\n\n\nThis talk explains why the destruction of native plant habitats is contributing to a significant and ongoing decline in bird and insect populations. By removing invasive\, non-native species and planting a greater diversity of native plants in your own backyard\, you can make a difference. Extension Master Gardener Julie Acker shows you how to identify many non-native invasive plants and suggest alternatives that look and “behave” similarly.  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nRemoving English IvyPhoto © R.Olsen ARMN\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAfter you register\, \n\n\n\n\nYou will receive an immediate email Zoom confirmation with the link to the class and some registration questions.PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION – make sure to check your SPAM folder.\n\n\n\nYou will receive a reminder confirmation with resource materials the day before the class. \n\n\n\nPlease add events@mgnv.org and webmaster@mgnv.org to your address book\, so that emails from MGNV do not go into your spam or junk folder.\n\n\n\n\nRegistration stays open until the end of the meeting. \n\n\n\nIf you are a person with a disability and desire assistance or accommodation\, please notify Sarah Calhoun\, Unit Administrator at (703) 228 6400 during business hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. *TDD number is (800) 828-1120. \n\n\n\nIf you enjoy our free Public Education offerings\, please consider making a donation to MGNV to support our quality educational classes.\n\n\n\nCan’t join us for a live online presentation?
